The West Penn Trail Council oversees the operation and maintenance this 16 mile trail system. One of their major responsibilities is to help raise funds toward the annual trail maintenance fund. Routine maintenance tasks are primarily handled by volunteers, keeping expenses at a minimum. The annual fundraising goal for trail maintenance expenses is $5,000.
